Rick Ross – Teflon Don

You can say what you will about the man Rick Ross, but at the end of the day he has made some good music.  You have to be insane not to have enjoyed Hustlin’.

1. Im Not A Star:
A nice opening track for the album and the Justice League production is hard as hell and Ross goes in.  He is no great rapper but he sounds good over this track.  This is instantly going on my gym playlist.

2. Free Mason feat. Jay-Z:
An absolutely incredible track, an amazing beat. Hova goes in hard, the best Jay verse I’ve heard in a minute! He addresses all the people mentioning that he is part of the NWO. “Bitch I Said I was A-mazing, not that Im a mason”

3. Tears of Joy feat. Cee Lo:
Another good track. Rich Ross is ok on this track but the production and Cee-Lo are excellent and Cee-Lo gets his Marvin Gaye on.

4. Maybach Music III (Feat. T.I., Jadakiss & Erykah Badu): Look at the guests – this can’t be bad…it can’t be!  T.I. kicks off the track and what a great verse to vibe too by T.I.  This is a great summertime meat, sounds a bit erratic at times but it works well especially with Erykah Badu,  she sounds great – as usual.  At first was not getting into the beat but after a few listenings it has been growing on me alot.

5. Live Fast, Die Young (feat. Kanye West):
A different beat produced by Kanye, at least Rick Ross is not scared to experiment and I think this pulled it off quite well and it is great to hear Kanye rapping over it as well, another one which will grow on you over a period of time.

6. Super High (feat. Ne-Yo): Laid back and smooth track.  Has an old traditional type of vibe to the track and especially with Ne-Yo it.  This is one of those tracks that do stand out on the album.

7. No. 1 (feat. Trey Songz & Diddy): Not my favorite track, beat doesn’t work well with it. P. Diddy does not work well on the track, this is most likely a skippable track for most people.

8. MC Hammer (feat. Gucci Mane):
Not a Gucci fan, the production on the beat was great but not one of my favorites on the album.

9. B.M.F. (Blowin’ Money Fast) (feat. Styles P):
This almost sounds like it is continued from the song above. I like it more than the one with Gucci on it.  Goes hard and will make a another nice gym song.  I’d much rather hear Styles P than Gucci so that is a bonus as well.

10. Aston Martin Music (feat. Drake & Chrisette Michele): This fits the vibe of the start of the album more.  I like Chrisette Michele and she sounds great here.  Really laid back back, summertime track.  I dunno why Drake was even on this.  I would have much rather heard a verse… Chrisette Michele did a great job on the hook, so why even add Drake? I guess Drake appearance will add some sales for Ross.

11. All The Money In The World (feat. Raphael Saadiq):
Another beat that fits the vibe of the whole album.  I definitely like it.  Don’t ever need to hear Rick Ross sing ever again though.  Especially back and forth with Raphael Saadiq.  Raphael did an excellent job on his part of the song though.  Great fit to the beat.  Not a bad way to end the album.
