Far East Movement the new wave
Far East Movement is an electropop group that is rising to the top at a good speed. FM as they are also known is composed of four very talented young men Kev Nish, Prohgress, J-Splif and DJ Virman. FM started the first multicultural music event known in Koreatown, LA to help benefit a drug rehabilitation center within the community and have been around since 2003.
You may have heard of FM in Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift with their song “Round Round” if not they were also featured on CSI: Miami, CSI: NY and HBO’s Entourage. Their music is a ray of electricity that gets your blood boiling and your head nodding with its infectious beat. It’s a cross of pop, dance pop and disco that has been on the rise for quite some time and is finally getting the respect it deserves.
Far East Movement has successfully done 7 albums which include: Audio Bio, Folk Music, Flavored Animal Droppings, Animal, For The Folks N’ Family EP, Party Animal Mixtape, and most recently Free Wired which can be downloaded on iTunes.
So far this group has had great hits such as in 2006 You’ve Got A Friend feat Baby Bash & Lil Rob, Lowridin’ in 2007, Fetish, 2 is Better & Girls On The Dance Floor feat Stereotypes in 2009 and this year 2010 Rocketeer feat Ryan Tedder, Go Ape feat Lil Jon & Colette Carr and the song which is hitting the air waves right now is Like a G6 feat The Cataracs & Dev.
In the last eight years Far East Movement has done well for their innovative music. I know that this isn’t the only time you will hear about Far East Movement. I can’t wait to hear more hits from FM.
