Eminem – The Recovery
The release of Recovery comes nearly a year after Relapse. Even though Recovery is Eminem’s seventh album it not like all of his other albums, shows a different yet talented Eminem. He collaborated with DJ Kahil, Just Blaze, Boi-1da and Havoc to make an album unlike the albums you’re used to when Eminem comes to mind.
It is said that this album was suppose to be known as Relapse 2 and completely different than what it turned out to be. As Eminem worked on this album the name of Relapse just didn’t fit do to the turn in the songs, so it was only fair to name it something totally different. He decided to go with his gut instead of fighting it and the end result is proving to have been a good choice.
In times past Eminem had been critizized for saying he would never record with R&B artists, and even though at one point he thought of starting trouble with Lil’ Wayne and Kanye West he decided to record with Lil’ Wayne, Pink and Rihanna. It’s a good thing he didn’t start something he couldn’t finish.
Eminem is known for his raw and sometimes hurtful to others music but this album shows a more recovered Eminem. He’s taken his music to a different level of raw where anyone and everyone can listen and feel what he’s been through and what’s he’s doing with himself now. He’s been throught so much in life and has not been sober, so now that he is he’s showing his fans that he has woken up and has a different view on life.
If you haven’t gotten Recovery yet, get it. I’m sure you won’t be dissappointed. I know this album will and has open a new path in his career. I’m also hoping that for some it will help open their eyes to what possitive can be done.
